Safaris Overview

Whether you are seeking the hunting adventure of a lifetime, or want to take in the beauty of Alaska, we can design the perfect trip for you.

Hunting Overview

Hunting Brown Bears

The area that Todd guides for Bears is on the Alaska Peninsula (GMA 9E). The State allows us only to hunt bears in the fall of odd-numbered years and spring of even-numbered years. Learn more >

Hunting Moose

The area that Todd guides for Moose is in the foothills of the Alaska Range’s north side, overlooking the vast flats of the Tanana valley. It is in a non-motorized “Controlled Use” area. Only bulls with antlers of either a 50-inch spread or antlers with 4 or more brow tines on at least one side are legal to harvest. Learn more >

Hunting Dall Sheep

We'll be guiding and hunting sheep in the central Alaska Range. We've had great success in the past hunting this area. It's fairly rugged terrain and holds some good mature rams. My aim is to give our hunters the chance at harvesting a ram in the 36" or better range.

Hunting Mountain Goat

Alaska Big Game Safaris is offering Mountain Goat hunts in the Misty Fiords National Monument in Southeast Alaska. We'll be offering these hunts in the even-numbered years when we aren't guiding on the AK peninsula for bears. These hunts will be conducted in conjunction with Ed Toribio and Primo Expeditions. We have been working with Ed since 1996 and have had many successful hunts together. Learn more >

AK Peninsula Remote Tours Overview

For those who are looking for an Alaskan adventure that’s a little bit more low key and relaxing, we can customize your trip to your interests and allotted time.

Located down on the Alaska Peninsula based out of Pilot Point, we can offer remote camping and beach combing trips, with an endless number of activities to pursue. From fishing for grayling and salmon, to whale watching, to scouring the beaches for treasures such as glass floats or an occasional walrus tusk.

Hike the tundra and beaches in the surrounding area and take in the unique beauty of the land. See for yourself the old bear trails that are worn three feet down from years of heavy use. Seek out some of the areas wildlife viewing and scenic photography opportunities, or sit back and enjoy a skiff tour up any of the area rivers and sloughs.

Alaska Big Game Safaris camps aren’t anything fancy, but they provide good quality portable shelters for cook tents and 8x8 extreme weather style tents for sleeping quarters. Cots, camp chairs and lanterns will be provided. All the tents will have a small portable propane heater to help dry gear and take the chill off.
