Preparation
Hunting always has the potential of being very mentally and physically demanding on a person. Our hunts are no exception. Please get yourself in good shape prior to your hunt and ask yourself if you are in excellent, good, fair or poor physical condition. If you are experiencing any kind of physical limitations, please let us know.
List of Items You Need to Bring
- Synthetic Sleeping Bag – rated to 0 degrees F
- Sleeping Pad – Ridgerest or Thermarest type
- Head Lamp, ( L.E.D. is best)
- 1 Set of Extra Batteries
- 270 Caliber Rifle or Larger – Sheep
- 30 Caliber Mag or Larger – Brown Bear/Moose
- 2 Boxes Ammo
- Binoculars
- Hiking pole - optional
- Camera with 2 Rolls of Film
- Knife
- Quality Rain Jacket & Pants
- External Frame Pack, Camp Trails type, or large Internal Frame Pack
- Personal Hygiene Items
CLOTHING
- All Outer Clothes should be Fleece, Wool or High Tech Synthetic
- 1 Pair Gloves
- 2 Hats (1 baseball style, 1 stocking or fleece hat)
- 2 Heavy Shirts
- 1 Light Shirt
- 1 Coat or Jacket
- 2 Pair of Pants
- 6 Pair Heavy Boot Socks
- 2 Pair Polypropylene Socks
- 4 Pair Underwear
- 2 Pair Polypropylene Long Underwear
- 2 Polypropylene Long Sleeve Tee Shirts
FOOTWEAR
- 1 Pair Climbing Boots (Sheep Hunters) – Cabela’s Canada Hunting Boot preferred
- 1 Pair Camp Shoes
- 1 Pair Stocking Foot Chest Waders (Dryplus or Goretex) w/lug sole Wading Boots (Bear Hunters)
- 1 Pair Knee High Rubber Boots (Bear Hunters) – Optional
- 1 Pair of Meindl Canada Hunting boots w/ caulked sole. (Goat hunters)
